The creator economy is becoming more and more profitable every day, inspiring others to build active revenue streams from their content. To discuss this topic further, Adobe has devised a comprehensive report that offers a more in-depth look into the financial benefits of content creation. Netinfluencer provides a detailed overview of the Future of Creativity: Monetization in the Creator Economy report.
Who Conducted the Survey?
Adobe is one of the most popular creative software companies on the market, boasting a portfolio of intuitive products such as InDesign, Creative Cloud, and Illustrator.
The company is also operating in the creator economy, teaming up with talented influencers to promote Adobe Express. This project used a wealth of creators to help promote advancements in learning for some of America’s most challenged students.
Survey Methodology
In order to collect the candidates for the Future of Creativity: Monetization in the Creator Economy report, Adobe released a 15-minute survey to a variety of non-professional online creators.
This produced a sample size of around 9,000 candidates from nine global markets. These individuals identified themselves as
- Creators: Professionals over the age of 18 who produce creative content as well as social media content.Gen Z Creators: Those aged between 16 and 25.Monetizers: Individuals who earn an income through selling their creative projects, such as online marketplaces and affiliate links.Gen Z Monetizers: People who monetize their content and are also aged 16-25.
Three Key Takeaways
This report provides a unique insight into many creators’ earnings, helping us to better understand the dynamic nature of the influencer marketing industry. Listed below are just three key takeaways from this report.
- 4 in 10 monetizers are making more money than they were two years ago.Nearly 50% of monetizers receive half of their monthly income from content creation.Creators who are monetizing graphic design pieces and NFTs are showing the highest potential for growth.
What Does This Mean for Influencer Marketing?
The first finding in this report highlights how many creators are seeing a vast increase in their earnings, particularly in a short span of time. Adobe also informs us that 8 in 10 monetizers also anticipate even higher earnings in the next two years. As such, this suggests that the creator economy is not expected to slow down and many creators are still looking to reap the benefits of this exponential growth.
Moreover, this report also signifies a high rate of success for part-time content creators. Although only 3 in 10 monetizers were looking to earn an income from their work, 48% of the sample believe that content creation accounts for more than 50% of their income. In turn, this helps us to better understand the financial scope of the creator economy and how many creators are working fewer hours and still receiving a substantial amount of money.
Finally, the third takeaway notes the growth potential of NFTs and other graphic design pieces. 80% of graphic designers predict that they will see an increase in their earnings in the next two years. In addition, 78% of NFT designers also expect to see higher earnings over the next few years. These statistics express a consistent level of growth for these projects and also exemplify their value in the real world. As a result, these creators are working to see an accumulative level of income whilst still operating in a fairly emerging market.
