The CW has released a new trailer for Crisis on Infinite Earths, showing a world ending, heroes united, and even a look at a batsuit. The Arrowverse event is almost here, and it recently received a poster featuring the many characters coming together for the crossover.

The hype surrounding Crisis on Infinite Earths cannot be quantified. Not only is it the most important event in the Arrowverse, but it’s also serving as a multiverse crossover. Tom Welling’s Superman from Smallville will be appearing on the screen for the first time since 2011. He will actually share a scene with Superman actors Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh. Ashley Scott will make an appearance as Huntress from the Birds of Prey show. According to Marc Guggenheim, there are “several” more unrevealed cameos. Clearly, this will be an unprecedented five hours of entertainment. The latest trailer for the crossover is grand, promising the biggest extinction-level event to ever hit the small screen.

To build even more anticipation for Crisis on Infinite Earths, The CW has released a new trailer showing the heroes in peril. There are plenty of new things to see, including Brandon Routh’s Kingdom Come Superman speaking for the first time. Check out the trailer below.

There are a number of things to note from this short trailer. Clark and Lois are seen with their newborn, which could serve as setup for the upcoming Superman and Lois show. A Batman suit is shown with cobwebs, indicating it hasn’t been worn in a very long time. This could be the old batsuit of Kevin Conroy’s Kingdom Come Bruce Wayne, a character not seen in any footage so far. Tom Welling is seen briefly in a montage. The Flash of Earth-90 (John Wesley Shipp) is shown with Earth-1’s Barry Allen.

Interestingly, the Anti-Monitor has not been shown thus far. Eobard Thawne has also not been featured in any of the marketing. The character was not in the original comic book storyline, but based on The Flash’s season 5 finale, the reverse speedster will have a role in the TV event. The Psycho-Pirate has not been shown or confirmed, despite having a substantial role in the comic book and appearing in Elseworlds. There are still a lot of unknown variables regarding Crisis on Infinite Earths, which is probably for the best. Going in only knowing the essentials should make the viewing even more engaging. The event begins December 8.
