No matter what your age, you may find yourself in need of a wheelchair or crutches at some point in your life, whether it’s to recover from an injury or surgery or to visit people and places that aren’t handicapped accessible. Fortunately, CVS offers wheelchair and crutch rentals to help you get where you need to go with minimum effort and cost.
CVS has more than 7,000 stores throughout the United States, which makes it one of the largest drugstore chains in the country. CVS also offers free shipping on many of its products and services, including crutches, wheelchairs, and knee scooters. Here’s what you need to know about renting wheelchairs, crutches, and knee scooters from CVS
What are some ways I can get around during my recovery?
You don’t have to rely on others to get around when you’re injured or if you have a chronic condition that prevents you from walking. That’s where mobility aids can help. From canes to kneepads, CVS Pharmacy carries dozens of products designed to help with mobility, pain relief, and everyday functionality. While it’s best to consult with your physician before using any mobility aid products (like a cane or a brace), all of these items are designed for self-use by customers who have received clearance from their doctor.

How do I pay for this service?
After your order is placed online, you will be given an estimated pick-up time at a nearby CVS store based on availability.
You will also be able to check store availability in your area and choose from a full list of items to reserve for free pickup up at a local CVS store.
Once an item is reserved, you are unable to make any changes to your reservation or cancel it altogether within 48 hours of your scheduled pickup date.
Simply print out your reservation confirmation email and bring it with you when picking up your order so that our employees can have all necessary information ready immediately upon arrival at checkout!
Reservations can only be made with a credit card – no debit cards or cash transactions will be accepted when renting equipment from CVS!
Why is there a delivery fee?
If you know you’ll need a wheelchair, crutch, or knee scooter at some point—whether it’s temporary or ongoing—it makes sense to pay a small delivery fee ($5) to keep it on hand when you need it. Don’t worry about missing your local pharmacy or being left to drive home from work before stopping by CVS again; if you have an hour or two between when you request a device and when it gets delivered, call CVS customer service at 1-800-SHOPRITE and let them know what happened. Someone will come out that day to deliver your device (and a $5 refund). Pretty good customer service!
What if the wheelchair, walker, or cane is missing parts when it arrives?
Don’t worry! CVS have you covered.
If a wheelchair arrives missing parts, you can contact them to request a replacement part or they will send someone out to repair it free of charge within 7 days from your rental date. However, if it has been longer than 7 days since your rental date or you were unable to notify them within that time, they may require an additional charge for repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear.
Where are your stores located?
CVS locations are situated in many neighborhoods all over America. You can use their store locator to find out if there’s a CVS near you. The majority of their locations are located inside of grocery stores or shopping malls, so it’s easy to have one nearby no matter where you live or work!
Can you deliver to a P.O. Box?
CVS can ship to a P.O. box if you don’t have a physical address where your order can be delivered; however, you need to enter your zip code in addition to your P.O.
Do you deliver on weekends?
Yes! We deliver to residential addresses Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., as well as Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., though you may order till 7:30 pm online (for Sunday delivery). You can even schedule same-day or next-day delivery if you’re local—they’ll have your order ready and waiting at one of your neighborhood store locations when you arrive!
Are our rental products available in all locations?
No, not in all locations. Check with your local store to make sure they do offer rental products. You can see their phone number on their website at www(dot)CVS(dot)com/stores.
What items are NOT eligible for rental?
To help ensure that your items are provided in good condition at all times, certain items are not eligible for rental: Personal grooming aids: earphones, electric toothbrushes, hairbrushes, or hair dryers. Mobility assistive devices: canes or walkers (with exception of manual folding walkers). Wheelchairs/wheelchair accessories that do not require a prescription must be privately owned. Oxygen concentrators/supplies such as tubing, cannulas, and masks are not eligible for rental unless you have a private prescription with CVS pharmacy due to medical necessity through your physician.
