After their triumphant return to Hall H during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios is tipped to also have a big presence at D23 Expo 2019. Here’s everything to know about the MCU’s presentation at the upcoming Disney-exclusive convention.

After wrapping up the Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame and having Spider-Man: Far From Home act as something of an epilogue, the MCU is currently in a rebuilding phase. President Kevin Feige laid out the projects for Marvel’s Phase 4 last month during Comic-Con, and more news to it expected to come out regarding the future of the universe when he takes the stage again at D23.

There are two main events at D23 2019. The first is the Disney+ Showcase on Friday, August 23 at 3:30pm to 5pm PST (6:30pm to 8pm EST), which is where TV-related Marvel news will arrive. The second is Go Behind The Scenes with The Walt Disney Studios presentation on on Saturday, August 24 at 10am to 12pm PST (1pm to 3pm EST), where details on future MCU movies will be revealed.

Being focused on Disney+, the Friday panel will bring new details on the upcoming Marvel Studios TV shows such as The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, and the What If…? animated show. While there will be no immediate available MCU show upon launch of Disney’s own streaming service this November, these projects will be a major selling point for the service. Specific premiere dates (so far, only release windows are known) and more details about these series are expected to be revealed.

Similar to how Marvel Studios staged their latest Hall H appearance, the movie panel will more likely be a mix of reveals for upcoming projects. Although there’s no official word yet, Black Widow will more likely be a key focus point given Cate Shortland’s movie is now the next schedule movie. Of course, there’s sure to info on a slew of Phase 4 projects, particularly with new properties such as Chloe Zhao’s Eternals and Destin Daniel Cretton’s Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Aside from the main panels, Marvel Studios will host a string of events throughout the entire run of D23 which will include panels featuring filmmakers and artists from the studio. The Marvel Studios Pavilion on the show floor will also display various superheroes’ costumes from the MCU, while an Endgame D23-exclusive video experience will be available for attendees to enjoy. A separate pavilion, in Imagining Tomorrow, Today will have a sneak peek at the upcoming Disney Parks’ immersive attraction in Hong Kong, Paris and California focusing on Tony Stark’s plan to recruit the Avengers.

Back in June, Fiege promised that Marvel Studios’ SDCC and D23 stints this year will be different from each other. Given this, fans can expect a new set of reveals from the studio aside to what was already announced at SDCC 2019, perhaps even including official information regarding the MCU’s Phase 5, as well as plans for the newly-acquired X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool.
